NEW SCULPTURE AT THE ENEA TREE MUSEUM: PEDRO WIRZ – “TRILOBITES”
The Enea Tree Museum expands its collection of contemporary art in dialogue with the landscape with a new work by artist Pedro Wirz. The sculpture “Trilobites” (2025), installed within the park, offers a poetic yet critical reflection on the effects of climate change.
The work depicts fried eggs seemingly burning on glacial boulders — a striking and unsettling image that addresses the warming of the Earth and its impact on natural systems and human civilisation. Crafted from cast bronze, boulder, and automotive paint, the sculpture combines strong materiality with narrative depth, while consciously integrating into the natural surroundings of the Tree Museum.
Previously presented in a prominent location at Europaallee in Zurich, the work now unfolds a new spatial and conceptual dimension within the context of the Tree Museum. Here, art and landscape enter into a dialogue that makes contemporary questions visible and transforms the visit into a sensorial experience.
