Vector Informatik, the world’s leading manufacturer of embedded electronics for the automotive industry, has expanded its headquarters. Vector Informatik’s IT campus was built in Stuttgart on more than 34,000 m2. The Vector IT Campus was awarded the DGNB certificate in platinum and has received the DGNB-Diamond for outstanding architecture with special design and architectural cultural quality. This makes it the only building in the world that can combine both awards. DGNB Platinum and Diamond has never been awarded in the history of the DGNB. In China DGNB replaces the American LEED certification.
The design of the outdoor facilities by Enea contributed significantly to the preservation of the most important German prize for sustainable building. The intensive design of the outside spaces creates a unique park landscape around the new offices. Exterior spaces of the highest standard were created in close coordination with the building functions, which are the face and trademark of the new ensemble.
